How interested do you think they would have been in >>>endurance after that?? The same way they'd react if you told them at little league sign ups how many kids were killed playing baseball last year, or how many high schoolers have died playing football...or how many gooseneck trailers roll over... or how many children drown in 5 gallon buckets. At first it's sort of shock, then you realize that if you poll a large enough pool, it's amazing how much of everything happens. I am in favor of making our sport as safe as possible. But I still feel that it's the blatant repeat offenders we need to be focusing on and quit scaring the newcomers just to make ourselves feel like we're doing something.
