RE: [RC] Ruffled Feathers---Good Responses - Jon . Linderman

The LD riders certainly don't get a full vet exam at the end of a ride -
just a trot out for completion

Once again not at any of the MW or NE rides that I have been to. If I
close my eyes I have no idea whether I am on a 25 or 50. Excellen vetting
w/no deference (or discrimmination) to distance ridden in my experience.

I will say that in the rides I have done in MI, the BC issue is settled
right at the final trot out for LD using the AERC cards, but like others
around the country our Ohio endurance RM & the vet choose to select a horse
from the Vet cards for LD. I think they call it Best Horse. Both use AERC
system for 50's on the BC. I can't run a 25 in 2 hours flat like some of
the Indiana people, so I've never stood for BC there, but I felt the
vetting was the same for the LD & 50.
