It saddens me to hear this. John is a really cool dude and has been
in endurance since it's inception. He put on a ride this year that was one
of the most "original" Florida endurance rides I've ever attended. One
day, when the dust has settled, I'll try and write about that one.
I want to let everyone on Ridecamp know that John DiPietra has
suffered a stroke and is presently hospitalized in Inverness, Florida. John
lives in Floral City, Florida. John has 8 horses and at present there is no
one to care for them, as his wife is at his bedside and their neighbors
know nothing about horses. Anyone living reasonably close who could help
his wife, Nuni, with the horses should give her a call at 352 250-5199
(cell) or 352 726-9990 (home). John is in Inverness Memorial Hospital Rm
305B, 502 West Highland Boulevard, Inverness, FL 34452, 352-344-6535
(Hospital). John is unconscious as of this morning (10/15/03) and partially
