[RC] mulberries - Jonni Jewell

Scott, we had a fruitless mulberry tree in California, and the horses loved
to eat the leaves. But, there was a certain time of the year, that when they
ate them, they would swell up along their throat latch area. I guess that
would be their lymph nodes. So much so, the first time I saw it, I thought
they might have strangles they were so swollen. Took me awhile to relate it
to the trees.

Ours never had berries, but did have the little squiggly things that dropped
instead of fruit. Boy they loved those leaves though!
