[RC] AERC NC Basecamp Phone # - DreamWeaver

FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY PLEASE! 775-969-3064

Camp is now open! Riders are already arriving. There are ribbons out marking the way. :+)

A cold front is moving in and the temps should be in the mid 60's. Lows Thursday night will be 32 to 42. It could be partly cloudy, or windy.

The newest entry list is online: http://www.aerc.org/nc2003/Entries.html

Some interesting statistics: there are four horse and rider teams entered in the 50 who have ridden their horses for at least TEN ride seasons (actually, the least of these 4 is eleven seasons) They are all special, 2 of them are riding the highest mileage horses still going down the trail and the other 2 are unique in that one of them has ridden 100% of her miles with the horse -- their mileage has all been done 100% TOGETHER! The other rider is also in a similar category - he has FIFTEEN years of ride seasons with his horse and his horse has done only one 50 without him in all that time.

Jackie Bumgardner on Zayante, 11,245 mile horse!
Les Carr on Tulip, 12,635 mile horse!
Linda Cox on Gaichamarretto +/ 100% of miles are together, 11 ride seasons!
Mike Tracy on Aron Moon 99% of miles are together, 15 ride seasons!

Good luck to everybody riding in the National Championship!

Happy trails,

Karen
