Re: [RC] costs: Boarding & shoeing - Stephanie E Caldwell

I'm in North Carolina, about 30 minutes away from Charlotte. I pay $100 for an 18 stall barn and pasture, I figure it costs me about $160 each month by the time I buy feed ($30) and shavings ($30 for bagged, or $30 in gas to go get them at the saw mill). Costs me $20 for a trim $35 for setting shoes, my shoes cost $32.00 for all 4. I have miles of trail outside my barn door, but I do have to take care of Star on my own.

BTW, if anyone ever needs a layover near Charlotte I've got plenty of stalls and some pasture space.

I am a really long way away but I have 53 acres and charge my boarders $165 a month and that includes feeding.  I pay about $100 for shoes.
