[RC] [Guest] Stagg/ Pan Ams Hero - Ridecamp Moderatornicole luck tripleluckarabians333@xxxxxxxxxxxMy 15 year old daughter was in the Top Ten at the Pan Ams but became very ill after VC 3. She was off her horse vomiting. Some passed but not Mr. Newman, a gentleman that we had never before met. Instead he ensured that she drank two bottles of water and walked with her for about thirty minutes until she recovered. We thought she was only dehydrated but had a very seious case of the flu and was sick 2 weeks. We don't know how to thank him enough. And yes, this was in the middle of a very high profile ride. Not only is he concerned for the welfare of our horses but of fellow comptitors. Alyx recovered enough to get off and run about 20 miles later in the ride but paid for it by getting sicker. She's all well now and very thankful to Mr. Newman for his selfless consideration. Thanks again to a real hero. What an incredible thing to do--not many times have I seen such kindness even in our "low profile " rides. What an awesome individual, a real hero for endurance.
