Hi Stacey,
Sorry to hear that you HAVE to relocate... that being said, it may be a great opportunity for you to take in the Fraser Valley - Vancouver area of B.C. It's not HOT in the summer nor is it very cold in the winter, but you do get a fair amount of rain. Trails are limited if you get too close to the city, but the area around Hope and Chilliwak are divine.


Alternatively, check into the Central West side of Alberta near or in the Rocky Mountains particularly around Banff/Lake Louise. Calgary is a pretty large city that's within 2 hours drive and the scenery is breathtaking. You would be in or near the mountains, so heat wouldn't be a problem.
