Although the horses have "different conformation" you will still notice some
distinct similarities--short cannons, long forearms, good backs, reasonable
angles, no "extreme" necks, etc. So I'd submit that the conformation is
similar in all of them--but that some are of different styles.

Jonni is right that one can tell which ones would "rather be back at the
barn" in the photos, and also that it is tough to compare movement based on
photos that just catch one phase of the stride. That said, while Catch A
Wave (the BC winner) does not look particularly dynamic in the shots
provided, did any of you notice how much less gaunted up he was than the
others? I would suspect that this horse was metabolically superior to the
others, just looking at that, regardless of how dynamic he may or may not
have looked in the photo. I was also impressed with his overall bone and
substance--very "classical" sort of horse. These seem to be the ones that
can just keep going, and going, and going, like the Energizer bunny... I've
never seen the horse in person, but that was sure the impression I got from
the photo. The other horse that gave me the same sort of impression in the
pictures was the mare GA Tyfa Mynte in 9th or so place--another one I've not
seen in person, but she just has that business-like sort of appearance and
build that suggests that she'll still be out there tomorrow, and next week,
and next year.
