[RC] Death Valley - Lucy Trumbull

Death Valley rides point to point on day one,
same camp on day two, point to point on day
three and then same camp on day four, at
Panamint Springs. So you need to have your
rig moved two times there.

Well, it looks like, for once, we might be able to
pull DVE off this year (not for want of trying the
last few years) - assuming Provo's leg stays sound,
and Zini (who Provo kicked in the knee on Monday)
isn't permanently maimed... :(

How do the LDs work at DVE in terms of looping back to
camp or point-to-point?

I'm trying to figure out if Patrick and I both ride
(either the LD, or the 50, or a combination of both,
or take a day off), how we would get the rig moved
and when we'd need to? (i.e. if Patrick rode the LD
and I rode the 50, could he move the rig after his ride
- or would we both end up marooned at the "other end"?).

Are there particular days that are harder/easier for
both the LD and the 50? (this might be Patrick's first
LD if Zini takes her time recovering, so I don't want
him to be too daunted... and it might be my first 50
since 1999 - so I don't want to be too daunted either <g> -
as I mentioned to someone today, I always feel like I've
got the flu [whole body ache] when I ride Provo for any
distance <g>).

Thanks for any thoughts - I'm really looking forward
to the *realistic* possibility of actually getting to
do the ride. yay!
