[RC] Light Wieght Trailer mats - Roger Rittenhousewhile at the Thorobred Clinic trade show last month, I spent more time looking at new products.. very bad show. I have been looking for a very light weight trailer floor mat. Mine were in need of replacement and the weight of these HD rubber mats is more then needed. I found a mat from SUMMIT RUBBER called MIGHTY LITE portable floor mat. Each section is 36x48 and weighs 11 pnds. I removed over 100 pnd of mats - each one too heavy to pickup and replaced with almost 7 section for about 70 pnds total weight. Cost at the show pickup at the show $25 per section. I bought 10 - used the extras in the barn for tack area. Horse travels very well . The mats are thicker and 'red' in color - I noted also cooler when parked on the hot blacktop.
