[RC] Easyboot question - Dolores Arste

Has anyone tried using the boots with the metal teeth bar removed?

I just received my Dallmer clogs from Germany. Their boot is sort of a cross
between Old Mac's and the Easyboot. From what I can tell from peering for
hours on end at both sets sitting here and trying them on my horse, I see no
reason why you can't remove that bar thing. The heel strap and the cable are
each attached with Chicago screws. The one for the cable has a bushing. I
see no reason why you could not remove the bar and switch the cable screws
to attach both the heel strap and cable together with the screws and
bushings.

One other thing I learned from the Dallmer clog is that if you put a slit in
the front wall section on either side of the fold that the cable comes thru
it makes the boots oh so easy to slip on. Somehow, I suspect some of you
know this already.
