RE: [RC] water in trailer - Snodgrass, Bonnie

that's what I do for long trips. Actually, I hang a deep feeder bucket
designed for corners. It will hang in a slantload stall from the rings
already there for a feeder bag. I use some snaps to hang the bucket, fill
1/2 full of water and stuff a bunch of alfalfa into it. Gets some wet hay
into the horse and a little water.

Subject: [RC] water in trailer

I have not yet gotten a water bucket for my trailer (just
short hauls so far). Someone recommended using a peice of wood
int he bucket to minimize sloshing: any other ideas?<

Stick a handful of hay (alfalfa works well) into a small bucket of
water....works great, keeps the dust down and gives the horse something
to do besides count cows.
