[RC] Endurance Trucks - Budler,Cindy - AfroxAnother South African throwing a spanner in the works! Like Kristene I too drool over the rigs you guys have "out there" - when I "grow" up I too want one of those Big trucks with a camper - the whole shebang - can't be anything nicer than pulling up at ridecamp and not bothering to pitch tent etc- I want my own toilet and shower - and a microwave and fridge would be great too :)))). My "bakkie" (as we call them out here) is Isuzu 250 KB LE - diesel, manual transmission, single cab, long wheel base.18 months old and done 70 000 km. Tows two horse bumper pull and gets 10km/litre - close to 12 when not towing- is not fast but just chugs along like most diesels- top speed towing is probably 120km/h downhill, but never tow faster than 100km/h on highway anyway. Our previous towing vehicle was a Ford Courier - 2.2 litre single cab long wheel base-gas . Fantastic old bakkie that one - eventually retired at 400 000 km on clock- never gave a days problem in all those years and consumption was 12 when towing and 14 when not!
