Re: [RC] Western Raised horses out East - MarisRI have a 6 year old grey Arab that I bought 1 1/2 years ago in Arizona, and moved him to central Florida. Have had some problems with scratches on his lower hind legs, but otherwise, he's adapted great. I did find out that his ground control shoes were chewing up his feet in the daily summer deluges. No other skin issues, bug problems, digestive problems, etc. Probably a combination of good luck and good breeding. My biggest worry was the deep sand, so I have been making real efforts to VERY slowly build up the extended trot, and will move him into a canter instead. I have so far been thrilled with his progress.Maris
