[RC] Truck/trailer tire ? - Nina Vasiliev

Hi, I need some practical advice.

My truck tires say they should be inflated to 80 lbs, the trailer's to 60. Yet my hubby, who is wonderful but doesn't know anything about autos or fixing ANYTHING, says that I should not inflate the tires that high. That I should leave the truck tires at around 60 and the trailer's at about 50. Now I've had about 6 blow outs in as many years. The last one, Thursday, the truck tire still had tread. The side walls disappeared and the steelbelted tread-part was all that was left.

Keeping in mind that I live where it can get to 95-100 degrees and the asphalt is hot enough to cook eggs, how high should those tires be inflated?

Thanks in advance,

Nina Vasiliev
