Re: [RC] [RC] [Guest] Timex Ironman GPS Watch - Kelly Lane

Hi Wendy,

I have the watch and love it. It is quite accurate and a real eye opener as many times I'm not going as far or as fast as I think. It's teaching me to be a better judge of both. It's also a "fun toy". On the other hand, I do a lot of riding in open areas with minimal tree coverage. Recently I went on a ride that was very forested and it did not work well at all.  So, I guess it depends on where you ride whether it is useful or not. And make sure you really internet shop-I found mine on a website (now forgotten) for $130.00 It is in our local sporting goods store for $199.00. And while I have the 100 lap memory, I don't really utilize that feature though I suppose if I did, the 100 lap would be preferable.

Kel
