[RC] shore-to-shore - easyboot or shoe? - Leslie Beyer

I'm looking for some tips on whether to shoe or easyboot for the Michigan
shore-to-shore ride. We've just moved to Ohio from New Mexico and things
are a bit different here. Merlin has really good feet so in New Mexico we
went barefoot the majority of the time, and simply used easyboots when
needed - for endurance rides and rough trails. If it makes a difference,
we'll be doing the non-competitive LDs. I don't have any word yet on the
trail terrain so if you've been to the shore-to-shore let me know what you
think.

Would also like to hear what folks are doing here in Ohio. Is anyone going
barefoot in the summer? We have a lot of mud, and as I understand it
easyboots aren't good in mud as they can get slippery. Please correct me on
this if I'm wrong.

Thanks,

Leslie
