[RC] re: horses eating oak trees in hot weather - A. PerezMy guess is they are in the shade to get out of the heat, rather then grazing out in the hot sun. Being horses, they want to chew, and whaddya know, there's a handy tree right here... Wrap the trunks of the tree in hardware cloth to protect them, or fence them off ...unless you want them killed ;-) ... and if you want to indulge your horses, hang haynets in the shade so they can eat and keep cool. ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
