Yep. Although I have another
goal when I ride--and that's to do the best I can, on that horse, on that
day. If that "best" is a last-place completion with 10 minutes to spare
before cutoff, and I get it done, I'm a real winner. If my horse had the
win in the bag and I screwed up and made him 5th, that's less of an accomplishment.
