Re: [RC] Lyte Now recall - Truman Prevatt

I just went through this - probably the reason I ended up with a horse on life support for awhile. From the company when I talked with them.  It has a two year shelf life. If you call the company and give them the lot number (on the tube) they will tell you how old it is. I should not be stored above 85 degrees. The Lyte Now I had I got about 6 prior to using it but it was 3 years old! Where had it been and how hot had gotten it?

When it is black it has something nasty growing in it and should not be used.It should be a tan in color. Anything darker - I wouldn't use.

What does a bad tube look like.  We got a couple tubes and the stuff is so thick inside and we could not even squeeze it out.  The paste is brownish in color.  Is this normal?

The phone number should be on the tube. If not you can get it on a Google search. Whatever you do don't use it.

A friend ended up with one of the bad 80cc tubes of Lyte Now.  Does anyone know how to contact the manufacturer (Pro Formula)?  I've done a google search but can't find a website for the company.
