[RC] Doing first 100 and the Big Horn - Laura Hayes

I loved the story about the Big Horn 100- I did the ride in 1988 (I think)
and it is still my favorite. Reading your story brought back wonderful
memories. Thanks Tom Noll.

Interestingly, when to do your first 100 brings back another memory of Big
Horn 100. I was riding along in the last few miles or so and Kathy Arnold
(of Hall of Fame, fame) came trotting up behind me. We chatted about our
horses (mine was Rushcreek Noel - on her first 100) and she mentioned that
her horse was five years old and was on his first RIDE. They finished the
100 ahead of me. I always wondered what happened to that horse, as I live
in the NE and never rode with Kathy again, so I looked it up in the
database. His name was Sareavo (sorry, I spelled this wrong) and he went on
to do 9000+ miles. Interesting......
