[RC] RC] failing flex test - A. Perez

IMHO, the flex test should just be treated as an indicator
of POSSIBLE soundness issues that need further investigation,
NOT as a iron-clad PROOF of lameness. If I held
my leg bent up to my chest for a full minute then tried to
walk,
I'd limp for a bit too! There was a good artical on evauluating
horse lameness (I think in 'The Horse') which said much the
same.

If the horse looks otherwise OK, I'd ask for a trial period, or
at least to take him out on a multi-hour ride, and get a vet to
look him over. Even if he's a little arthritic, that can be
handled with supplements.
