[RC] endurance riding on small horses - Ed Kilpatricklittle! what do you call little? my friend sheila shortland rides a little paso fino gelding that is 13.2 hands and probably doesnt weigh over 700 lbs., more like 650. she rode here in florida, mostly 25 mile rides, then moved up to 50 milers. she is currently out west and has done some rides in nevada, california area. she has had some top ten finishes and at least one best condition award with this little horse. i rode most of the 2002 season on a paso fino gelding also, 14 hands, 750 lbs. so, yes, little horses can definitely do this! ed
