[RC] [Guest] Preparing for the Tevis - Ridecamp Moderator

Lucie Hess appalucie@xxxxxxx
AS I am planning on "Doing" the Tevis next year, I am thinking about going out to "see" the Tevis this year. I know it's late in planning, but doable with my schedule.

I have a couple of questions from Folks who have done the ride.

1. Would I be welcome showing up as a visitor at the pre ride meetings on Friday?

2. I would like to visit and walk different parts of the trail, so I can get an idea of the topography. I want a feel of the terrain. I know that lots of the trail is inaccessable by vehicle, but are there areas I can get to a day or so BEFORE the ride for a look see?
3. Any suggestions of what to do to get a feel for the ride?
4. Good places to stay?
5. Would it be rude to visit some of the vet checks that crews are allowed into, if I park so I'm not interfering with Crew access?
6. Anything I'm forgetting?

Thanks Loads, Lucie Hess AERC#65 appalucie@xxxxxxx
