[RC] [Guest] Old Dominion Rides - Ridecamp GuestStephanie Muncy smuncy@xxxxxxxxxxxxx All, I posted a notice of Ride cancellation as soon as decidion was made by The Board of The Old Dominion. We are extremely sorry, if this was too late for some who had left today to attend the ride.The decision was an extremely difficult one to make, the OD has not been cancelled in the 30 yrs. it has run. However, the river crossing - being too HIGH, and logicistics of trying to 'work' a different start location for the ride was felt ot be too much with only couple days to do so. Also, some sections of trail are wet enough that we thought safety of horses and riders were an issue. I hope this explains at least a little, as I said ,, this was a very difficult decisions for us to decide. For those who have Raffle tickets on the horse that was to be given away at The Old Dominion.......... we are having the drawing at The Fort Valley Rides ( OCT. 25 -26, 50/50, and two day 100 ). So you can still get tickets, for a good endurance prospect, $5 @, or 6 for $25, available ffrom any OD board member, or contact OD at web page for info. Money goes to support organization, and to trails.
