Bill,

We're not used to MUD just regular mud. :) Here lately I go over to my
neighbors and take stock of his creek, if it's really big we don't ride.
It's a tributary of the rivers we cross, if it's impassable there it's
definently not passable up the creek. What really scares me is the slick red
clay here going up and down hills. Star's slipped and almost gone down a few
times going up and down, her feet just fly out from under her.

Since the rains I've taught her to Stay and Come at the end of the lead,
that way I can hook my 30' lunge line up and go up/down the hill on foot and
then bring her to me and she doesn't have to balance my weight. Same thing
with strange creek crossings, we're getting more and more quicksand type
stuff I noticed when I was running last night. Ugggghhhhhhh....

Hello all,

I was trying to tell someone that my horse just wasn't use to the mud.
They  asked "Don't you ride after it rains?". This picture was the day
after  3  days of heavy rain where we ride. The road is simply scraped
out of the ground, they don't add rocks or gravel to our roads:
