It's jumped here locally quite a bit, too, though can't remember exactly
what.  If your source is Colorado, the sugar beet crop was hit pretty hard
last season by the drought.  The 'depot' near my house was maybe 25% of it's
usual size after the harvest this past fall.  So far, we're getting some
decent moisture this season (first cuttings of hay just coming in, wahoo!)
and hopefully next season's beet harvest will be better.

The price on beet pulp pellets at my local feed store (Springerville AZ)
has jumped from just over $10 to over $16 in the past year.  Has the price
jumped everywhere or am I being gouged?  What are the alternatives to beet

pulp?
