[RC] [RC] leading from in front - A. Perez

My bargy TWH gelding used to run me over and drag me around.
I tried tapping him on the chest with a crop (and smacking, when
taps failed to work), but it really didn't help. What worked -
almost miraculously- is something I read in a Pat Parelli book:
'snaking' the lead line: basically sending loops down the
lead-line by whipping it (ala 'crack the whip') whenever he
invaded my space until he backed up a few steps. No I can stop
dead, and back up, and Cy backs away from me and respects my
space. Worked great!
