RE: [RC] truck lengths - Alison Farrin

Wouldn't trade my dually for a standard 3/4 ton; you couldn't make me.
The tires that came on it have gone over 40,000 miles. It gets better
mileage than a 4x4 and the traction is almost is good. I can go 80 mph
down the freeway in 60 mph crosswinds pulling a trailer with a camper on
the truck and not notice. Idiot horse in the trailer scrambling all
over the place does not disturb my dually. Its always got weight in it
- so the ride is nice. Parking and walking to the restaurant helps burn
calories i didn't need anyway. Don't know what a deck is, but I can
park it in any normal (non compact) parking space. Fully loaded and
pulling a big 2 horse I get 13.5 mpg. If I blow a rear tire, I just
keep driving (although slower). If you overload it, it doesn't get
squirrelly, it just squats.

I LIKE My Dually!

Hmmm....ain't no way....only reason for EVER buying a dually is that
you're towing Noah's Ark. Unless you like buying tires, a hard ride,
can't park in decks, can't do a drive-thru, and lower gas mileage,
forget the dually. Buy a standard 3/4 ton with 4 wheel drive.

Seems to me we had a discussion a while back and decided that a dually
would
give almost as much traction as a 4 wheel?
