[RC] Clipper question - Lysane Cree

Any suggestions as to whether it is worth trying to
replace the battery in my Wahl (8900 series) cordless
rechargeable clippers? It is good for small things
like bridle paths, muzzles, fetlocks. However, it died
today...has been losing its charge quickly lately and
buzzing a lot louder and now it does not even charge
or turn on. I'm not sure where Wahl is located or how
to contact them.
I have been teaching my filly about clippers so they
have been on a lot lately, and now it sucks that I do
not have another one around.
I am considering fixing this one if not too expensive
and maybe buying a larger model for every day use
(maybe the Wahl Stable Pro). I was using this small
clipper for everything...maybe I overdid it, its
around 6 years old, don't know how long they usually
last...
