What's the difference in BC and high vet score?? Thought the one that got 
the high vet score was the one to win BC...?Pam

Don't I wish! I've won many a high vet score but only 2 BC's. The BC
form has 3 areas of judging. The first is vet scoring, the second is
time, the third is weight carried. The three combine to give the overall
score.  Giving a high vet score award is optional. Sometimes you have
a featherweight whose horse always looks great who never wins BC due to
low weight scores.  It's nice when they get recognized for bringing
their horse in looking so good. I never was high vet score at a single
ride that gave an award for it...but I always tried to be first to the
scoring sheets to get a look to see if I was just for my own
satisfaction. :-)
