I thought the folic acid is what they were starving the protezoa of. So replacing it would feed the nasty buggers?

Yes, definitely. A probiotic is always in order any time anyone (two-legged
or four) is on antibiotic therapy. Vitamins E and C are antioxidants
important in dealing with inflamation and in the immune process. I'd go
easy on the C (don't megadose) but the E can be given in very large
quantities. I'd also add selenium to the list, as well as folic acid (B12).
The former is likewise important as an antioxidant, and the latter is
important in neurological function and is often deficient in EPM patients.
