[RC] Looking for large trail horse in SW Michigan - Karen Casemier

Hey guys. We are having a hard time finding a horse for my husband. (We've had seller back out of one deal and decide to keep the horse, and another horse just failed the prepuchase exam today).

I'm actually looking for a horse for my husband, who is pretty much a beginner rider. He may want to do some CTR with me, but limited free time (for conditioning) will probably restrict him to no more than 25 miles. Will mostly just be trail riding for pleasure and joining me on some conditioning rides. Horse needs to have some size - both height and width - because my husband is 6'4" (although not heavy). I realize that many tall riders ride small horses, but because he has long legs and a long upper body, he really does not feel comfortable on anything under 15.2/15.3. I don't care if the horse has never stepped foot on show grounds as long as he is a fun, safe, and sound trail horse.

We are located outside of Grand Rapids, MI, and we prefer a horse within a 100 mile radius of us.

Breed/gender/color doesn't matter (although we really don't want a gaited horse just because I have a trotting horse). As long as the horse is large enough, exact size doesn't matter. Prefer something under 15 years old - but other than that, age doesn't matter. Will be kept with an occasionally marish but not agressive mare.

If you live in SW Michigan and have or know of a horse that might work for us, please e-mail me at kcrazzmatazz@xxxxxxxxxxxx
