We startled each other. They said hi and kept moving. I am pretty sure the people I saw behind the boulder were planning an "ambush" as I guessed they were up in the mountains on a training exercise. Later, three more marines suddenly came up out of a dry creek bed and they had machine guns, or whatever you call those big guns. Now that got my horse upset and for a couple of years he would get nervous when we would approach that area. Bonnie So. Calif.
