[RC] RC] Found in Woods? - Rides 2 FarWhat's the most interesting thing you have come across in the > woods? I've come up on a moonshine still once.(this is Georgia after all). I was about 14 years old and spending Spring Break at my friend's place back in the backwoods. On one of our rides he said, "Wanna see where the sherriff blew up a still a long time ago?" Sounded more exciting than it was...just a bunch of old milk jugs on the ground and pieces of tin in the trees. Then we rode on a ways up the creek and started smelling something sort of sweet...like when you leave a bag of grain in the car on a hot day. I was off leading my horse and we came right up on a new still. That was the only time I ever jumped on that horse bareback with no help. My friend made me swear I wouldn't tell anyone we saw it because they were probably watching us and if the sherriff discovered it any time soon and it looked like we snitched they'd burn down his house. Terribly exciting secret for a 14 year old to keep! I saw some really scummy looking guys trying to buy materials for meth at my feed store. They definately didn't fit in with the regular clientele and the owner sent them on their way. This is going to present a whole new challenge to avoid. What are the signs? You gotta have running water for a still. What does a meth lab need? Glad you're O.K.!
