[RC] Trailer TV Monitors - Roger RittenhouseLynne asked about this , I have installed a color camera and TV-Display in my trailer and truck. It really helped with the stress of hauling - for me - I can see how they are doing. The camera is hard wired. The wireless units will not work well through the steel aluminum. The power is from the trailer 12v and the cable runs up to the hitch where I have a RCA type connector to the cable in the truck. I went on the web and found mine for about $129. MATCO VCC 300CW Color waterproof. 800-719-9605 Its been in the trailer for 3 years. There may be a picture on the web site where I mounted it in the GN/LQ. If not I will put one there. The TV-Display is an RCA 5inch tv from radio shack. with video input. However they no longer offer that but check ebay. My alt choice is the 3 in flat display TV from Radio Shack for $149. Small and will fit nicely on the dash. This was self installed. I would think a car stereo shop would install. The package systems are over $500 Low cost and easy to install was the way I went. You could try those wireless -- I would try 2ghz vs 900mhz There is a picture of my truck dash with the tv on the website under F350 http://community.webshots.com/user/psdendurance -- Roger mailto:roger@xxxxxxxxxxx From: "Lynne Tomovick" <ltomovick@xxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [RC] Trailer Monitors Any advice or experience with Trailer tv monitors?
