I was wondering if it is possible to compete on a shoestring? Yes! The thing is, if you just go to one ride per year, you're an ENDURANCE RIDER. You're in training every day. You think about it morning noon and night. You read, train, learn. I used to train 5 days a week year round and go to one ride in the fall and maybe one in the spring if I was lucky...but lived it every day. Just start with what you've got and don't worry about problems until they show up. Come on in.
