OK, here goes the barefoot thread again. Now, folks, please let me
rest on this Best Conditioned High for at least one more day before I get the
"attack" barefoot'n responses. Maybe, I should answer this next week, but,
by next week we'll be on another subject.
Yes, American Spirit did this ride barefoot. He's been that way since
I took ownership of him last August. My wife's horse, the Paint, also
barefoot. My daughter's horse, an Arab, "War Cry" also, barefoot.
And, btw, we compared vet scores, and my daughter beat me by a couple of
points. I think War Cry was the best looking, after the 50, horse
there. He looked like he had just begun, in fact, he looked like he hadn't
done much of anything at all.
So, in my not so humble opinion, you can do 50's with a barefoot horse down
in the lowland's of the Southeast. I do their feet, I learned most of what
I know from an Internet site, but, I wanted to learn and do it and I'm kind
of really into that aspect of horse ownership. Have Rasp, Will
Travel. lol.
