[RC] 75s - terre

"One of the things that seem to be missing from many rides is that next
step up the ladder. A lot of rides don't seem to offer a 75. It may be
that there are a lot of riders out there that need that distance to help
them get their mind around being able to go farther. I am not sure if it is
a matter of paper work, lack of participation in that distance or what."

A good point.
I know as I ride manager I do not like offering a 75 mile distance. It IS a significant increase in work, another set of awards, and seldom has enough entries to justify it. Usually what seems to happen is you get one or two 50 milers move up; but other than that you have 100 milers decide to 'move down'--in other words, you don't get any additional riders, you just split the fields you already have. However, I can see where it would be a good step up for riders, especially where the trail permits (ie the last loop(s) is 25 miles). Perhaps more of us should consider it....
One thing you almost never see any more is "elevators". Wonder why?
