Lexington, KY and Gladstone, NJ—May 8, 2003—The search firm of
Russell Reynolds Associates of New York has been hired to help identify the best
individual to serve as CEO of US Equestrian, the likely new National Governing
Body (NGB) for the sport of equestrian.
Continuing the process of finalizing details and having the
jointly-proposed new NGB ready by the time the United States Olympic Committee
(USOC) Board of Directors gives its expected formal approval in October, the
United States Equestrian Team and USA Equestrian are seeking an individual to
head the US Equestrian staff as CEO and help lead the sport into the
future. The CEO Search Committee is co-chaired by Ted Weise and Howard
Pike and also comprises Edward S. Bonnie, Roger Schipke, Eric L. Straus and
Allan Shore, Jr.
