[RC] needl-shy horse - Simms, Judith

OK Anyone out there that has a needle-shy horse please help! How do you
get these suckers vaccinated without someone or the horse being injured or
the horse so traumatized that next time is even worse? Some have mentioned
that the pecs seem to work better. How do you restrain them so the would-be
shot giver isn't struck, trampled or run over?
It is like the needle phobics in the hospital (some of them adults) that
have to be put in restraints only on a mega scale.
She is calm about everything else and I can have her stand calmly now as I
slap my fist against her neck as though I were about to inject but let the
real deal touch her and forget it!
Please email privately so as not to clutter the list. Or are there others
hoping for help?
