[RC] [Guest] Rios Brother - Ridecamp Moderator

Pat Bush kenpat@xxxxxxx

I actually rode Rios brother, Quadir's Cameo on a hundred miler for Becky when she was ride manager. I'd never done a hundred and Becky's advice was " go like hell, stay in the front as long as possible. He doesn't like hills so keep up with the other horses as long as possible." We came in third and got best condition. Maryben, Courtney also wanted me to ride Rio when my horse strained a tendon. He was so untrained that I said no thanks. Always kidded Courtney that he wanted me to train his horse by putting miles on him. I agree that I would never have done what Becky did on him. It takes a special rider like Becky to find the best in the horse.
