[RC] Bugs on Chest - April Johnson

Maybe somebody can help us here. We've done some searching on the internet
but just aren't finding what we are looking for.

When I went out to feed tonight, Serts had these bugs on his chest. They're
about 2mm in length with 2 clear wings. Their bodies are black in color. 3
sections of the bug, 2 bodies sections and a head much smaller in diameter
and length than the body sections. There two short antennas. 6 legs, we
think. There were several feeding on his chest in horizontal lines. The
lines of bugs were surrounded by black debris like eggs. Might have been his
skin or blood spots?

Tanna has the black debris in horizonal lines on his chest, but I didn't see
any bugs on him, maybe only one or two.

Anybody have a clue what these things are?? I sprayed both down with fly
spray and intend to wash their chests really well tomorrow and continue
applying fly spray.

We want to know what this is. Are they just a fly nuisance or are they some
sort of parasite that needs an internal wormer to get rid of. I just wormed
them this week with ivermectin.

If the condition persists, I do intend to take them to the vet, just trying
home remedies first.

Thanks for any information.
