[RC] SEI certified helmets - Glenda R. SnodgrassIn doing research today on various helmets, I went to the website of the Safety Equipment Institute in an attempt to find whether some helmets have better ratings than others. I was particularly interested in the Range Rider, which looks so interesting and yet looks somewhat less robust than more traditional styles. I followed the link to "Certified Product List" and then "Headgear Used in Horse Sports and Horseback Riding (ASTM F1163)" to arrive here: http://www.seinet.org/CPL/astm116301.htm where I was disturbed to read: << Certification of this Model Withdrawn by SEI Eurocasque, Inc. | Range Rider | Toddler, Medium, Large >> I wonder why the certification for the Range Rider helmet was withdrawn? Does anyone know anything about this? There are no notes or explanation on this web page. I'd love to hear from anyone with information on this subject. -- Glenda R.
