[RC] Arab/QH as a distance horse? - Jennifer Thompson

Hi all,

I want to breed my Arabian mare, to get a foal from her for
me to keep and raise as my next distance horse (sentimental
reasons). My mare was injured so I have retired her at age
12 to be my forever pasture ornament. I do not ever aspire
to be a real die-hard contender, doing 100 milers (well,
maybe I'd try it once...) but do want to do 50's. I also
just ride for pleasure, and might try my hand at reining in
the future.

Was wondering if there are any Arab/QH crosses that are
excelling in endurance or CTR, or does the QH blood add too
much muscle mass to make the horse able to handle distance
well?

Have my eye on a very nice paint stallion..... :)

Input appreciated. Thank you!

Jennifer
