My horse went through the "Pigeon Fever" episode
last fall....and since only 1 of 4 horses caught it....I am thinking echinacea
may help that one horse build up a better immune system.....He is my number one
horse....gets fed well, and ridden a lot ...With spring here, the flies
are just around the corner......yuuuuk! I also do pretty good
management....On my 20 acres, the manure gets hauled out to the farthest point
from the barn and pasture....and surrounding land is Sequoia National Forest and
BLM land where we do have open grazing and cows......
My neighbor gave me an echinacea root.....but I
don't have any idea of how strong it is....or what medium to prepare it in..or
how much to try giving....assuming a small amount to start, and building up to a
maintenance amount.....
Any thoughts and/or experience will be
appreciated.
