Re: [RC] Roundpen measurement? - Stephanie E Caldwell

My favorite is 100' x 300', 40' x 60' oval is what I have now and I think
it's too small, but beggars can't be choosers, and it's my neighbors and I
use it for free, so... LOL His indoor is 150' x 300' and it's much more
comfortable, but we don't use it unless it's really bad outside.

Footing is the big issue for me, what do y'all think about just plain dirt?
Sand? Rubber Footing? Our old jumping arena was sand and it worked pretty
well; dressage arena was Airfoot and it got really slick when wet. My indoor
that I use is wood shavings and it's dusty... What other options are there?

Ok... while were on the subject, if you were to build your ideal
arena,
how big would it be?

Linda

I'd say 60 feet. That's big enough but not too big. This is about what
15 12 foot panels plus a 4 foot gate will give you.

roundpen was 45 ft. dia. How large should we go?

Thanks.
