[RC] Deworming yearling filly - Lysane Cree

Is there a preference (or benefit) to deworming every
two months versus every three or four months (for
example, with Quest). I am having trouble deciding on
what is the best "program"...I would like to establish
one, write it down and then have a shedule that I can
follow, without the guesswork of which dewormer I
should be giving. I am in Quebec, Canada so its cold
(freezing) between October - March (give or take a few
weeks).
When I first bought my filly in January my vet had
dewormed her (her first time ever I believe) and left
me with the 1/2 tube of Panacur for another deworming
in two months (March), which I did. I am wondering
whether I should keep deworming her every two months
with Panacur, or switch to Ivermectin....I used to use
Quest, but I'm not sure that its suitable for young
horses (?)
And once she is on a regular schedule, do I need to
modify it when she is full-grown, or can it stay the
same?
Thanks,
Lysane
