Re: [RC] frequent colic - Mary Sutliff

These symptoms sound very much like those my horse had just before he
was treated for ulcers.  He would lay down and appear to be very
unhappy-of course, his tummy hurt but it was not colic.  He got the
standard, very expensive ulcer treatment, and has had no recurrence.
His diet now consists of grass hay, Complete Advantage and very little
COB.  He is out 24/7.  I would talk to my vet about the possibility of
ulcers.
